Did you know?

Hertsmere Council recently revealed plans to add over 1000 new houses to Radlett and Aldenham Parish.
This would mean a 28% increase in existing housing, concreting over 142 acres of precious greenbelt.
There is limited time to object!
(deadline 6th Dec 2021)
This website has been put together to help guide and inform you.
Here is what we are trying to get locals to OBJECT to:

🏡 350 houses & a traveller site opposite Fairfield School

🏡 15 houses right next to that on the main road near High Cross

🏡 90 houses even further down towards Radlett on the Watford Road

🏡 75 houses the Radlett end of Theobald Street

🏡 10 houses in Hillfield Lane

🏡 10 houses in Cobden Hill
📷 195 houses between Theobald Street & Shenley Hill

🏡 10 houses in Letchmore Heath

🏡 30 houses in Roundbush

🏡 10 houses in Church Lane

🏡 15 houses in Pegmire Lane

🏡 40 houses on Porters Park Golf Club

ALL ON GREENBELT LAND!!!

Reasons to Object

Greenbelt loss: The greenbelt was created to prevent urban sprawl by keeping green buffers between settlements. It is the lungs of London

Threat to the natural environment: The destruction of our green areas means a loss of natural habitats and is a threat to wild life

Loss of Farmland: Means a loss of local produce

Climate Crisis:  How will we ever meet our carbon reduction commitments if we concrete over our green fields?

Pollution:  Created by traffic from the 1030 new homes

Infrastructure:  Pressure on roads, schools, trains & medical services

Out of date:  Housing demand has actually fallen according to government data

These are just some of the reasons to object to the Plan.
